Winter Has Arrived

Winter is the time where most of us like to hibernate by staying indoors, limit social outdoor events and just take time to catch up on some quiet time to do what you want to do.

Some Me Time

Time to Declutter

While the weather is cold outside, this gives us the perfect opportunity to declutter our home.  This is a great form of self-care and the less clutter; the less time is needed to be spent on things that could distract us from our goals.

That Sounds Delicious

This is a great time to practice your cooking and baking skills especially on a very cold winters day with a good, hearty warm meal.

Cuddled Up with a Good Book

You could organise a pyjama day where you could cozy up on a chair in the sun and read a book. It is also a great way to get some Vitamin D.

Get Moving

Remember to look after your health by exercising. Going for an outdoor walk or run in the fresh cold air can make exercising feel easier as the colder air puts less heat stress on the body and help your fitness goals.  An added benefit running in cold weather may help you burn more calories.

Supporting your immune system during Winter is vital to remain healthy.  Some tips on boosting your immune system:

  • Boost your immunity healthy naturally with foods such as fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, avocado, oily fish, eggs and protein. These foods are loaded with minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
  • Support your immune system with vitamins and nutrients which will help fight winter fatigue and the run-down feeling.
  • Exercise regularly, practice mindfulness and get enough sleep

Wishing you a warm and coxy winter.
